Interesting article from Guidedoc.com about the top 5 Stroke Rehabilitation Centers in America.  Upon review, these are the real deal, but are not listed based on affordability .   These should  be a reference to use when looking for a family member. Starting local   would be the best route  of action, use this as a "punch list" of what to look for  

 

This useful guide  from the National Stroke Association is a must have for the patient or the family member. This link is to the PDF for you to download for yourself. I would print it out, take to Staples or Kinkos and have them make a binder for you. Since the recovery process is a long one, this will give you plenty of useful information for the entire process.
